Hot sand

by Chris Maurice
A dry heat that clings to the skin, like sand still burning underfoot. Hot Sand by Librery is like a moment frozen under the sun. No movement, no air, just the heat. The sand holds everything: the light, time, sensations. A motionless moment, almost crushed by the sun.

The Fragrance

Hot Sand is like the lingering warmth after the sun sets. The beach is almost empty, the light fades, but the sand retains everything. The heat, the light, the sensations. A still moment, between late afternoon and early night, where the body continues to feel what the sun has left behind. From the opening, the warmth is immediate. Dry, almost mineral, with the sensation of warmed, slightly salty skin. Nothing fresh, everything is dense and luminous. Then, the fragrance settles without really evolving. The notes become softer, more enveloping, but maintain that dry, almost dusty texture. Like sand that clings to the skin. Over time, Hot Sand remains warm, close to the body, with a simple and persistent signature. A sensation more than a fragrance, like a trace left by the sun.

The brand

Librery is an independent French perfumery house founded in Paris, spearheaded by the same creator as Bey Parfums, Raf Bey, with the same perfumers, Chris Maurice and Nathalie Feisthauer. Its name is a play on the words "library" and "liberty": a library as a space of freedom, thought, and inhabited silence. The concept is precise and unique. Rather than drawing inspiration from an ingredient or a region, Librery starts with an image: that of a secret library where each bottle rests like a rare manuscript, ready to share its secrets. Each fragrance is a chapter, with its frank opening, its heart that reveals emotion, and its base that anchors the fragrance in memory like the last sentence of a novel you never truly close. The creations of Chris Maurice and Nathalie Feisthauer carefully translate this promise. Mango Wave opens with realistic, juicy, and straightforward fruits, before giving way to a jasmine of rare subtlety, and then an almost neo-chypre base of oakmoss. Ambert Sunset marries ripe fruits with the warmth of amber in a golden and enveloping trail. Palmeira plays on the roundness of plum and red berries, luminous and joyful. These are fragrances that you wear initially for their immediacy, and then rediscover as you wear them over time. A young house that already has the tone of a brand that knows what it wants to say.
