The Fragrance

Almond Suede is inspired by a blend of cultures and craftsmanship, between Moorish and Spanish traditions. The fragrance evokes the streets of Cordoba, where the sweet scents of kitchens mingle with the aroma of handcrafted leather. One can imagine the sweetness of marzipan, with almond, sugar, saffron, and orange blossom floating in the air, while artisans shape supple and elegant leather. The fragrance plays on this contrast: on one side a delicate and luminous gourmandise, on the other a deeper and more textured material. Over time, the almond becomes softer and more enveloping, almost creamy, while the leather provides structure without ever becoming harsh. The ensemble creates a harmony between softness and character, like a meeting of two perfectly complementary worlds.

The brand

Arquiste is a perfumery house founded by Carlos Huber, a trained architect and historian specializing in heritage preservation. The brand is based on a unique approach to perfume: each creation is conceived as the reconstruction of a precise moment, rooted in a place and time. Carlos Huber develops his perfumes based on historical research, archives, and cultural references, which he then translates into an olfactive composition. It's not about freely interpreting an atmosphere, but about reconstructing a scene. Each perfume thus corresponds to a defined situation, a date, a setting, an atmosphere. A room, a garden, a journey, a frozen moment, recreated through raw materials. Arquiste's olfactive signature remains contemporary, but always serves this narrative intention. Perfume becomes a means of traveling through time.
