The Fragrance

Gingembre-Latte opens with fresh, slightly zesty ginger, which provides immediate energy that is quickly softened. Then the fragrance becomes creamier, with a "hot milk" effect that envelops the spice, making it softer and more comforting. Over time, the blend becomes even more seamless, with a gentle warmth that lingers on the skin. The ginger is still present, but more rounded, integrated into a milky and slightly sweet texture. This is a very modern gourmand and spicy fragrance, playing on softness and texture rather than the power of ginger.

The brand

Affinessence is a French perfumery house founded in 2015 by Sophie Bruneau, who takes a fresh approach to classic perfume construction. Drawing on over twenty-five years of experience in olfactory analysis and nourished by an artistic background in dance, music, and sculpture, Sophie Bruneau approaches perfume as a material to be worked and molded, rather than simply following a pre-established formula. Her approach is based on a simple yet fundamental idea: to move beyond the traditional olfactory pyramid. While perfumery organizes its creations into three stages: top, heart, and base notes, Affinessence chooses to isolate each level to make it the very heart of the perfume. The first collection, Notes de Fond (Base Notes), explores deep and persistent materials, such as woods, resins, musks, and spices. Each creation is built around two main ingredients that interact and structure the entire composition. The Notes de Cœur (Heart Notes) collection focuses on more floral, gourmand, or spicy materials, treated with the same intensity and longevity as notes that are usually lighter. Finally, the Notes de Tête (Top Notes) collection applies this approach to fresher and brighter accords, designed to maintain a real presence on the skin.
